"Mr. Smith was my private saxophone instructor for two years. Words cannot express how much I improved not only as a musician but also as a person. Mr. Smith was able to help me achieve great things that I thought were impossible, such as high placement in All-State and acceptance to numerous, prestigious collegiate music programs. It was Mr. Smith's passion for music that made me continue to want to teach and perform music at the higher level. I value every second of study with him, and I would reccomend Mr. Smith to anyone looking for high-quality instruction."

Samantha & Emily U.

"Mr. Smith taught two of my daughters, Samantha and Emily, on clarinet for about 18 months. I appreciated his knowledge and skill. He encouraged and challenged them in their ability. Mr. Smith's communication to me was superior in keeping me informed of their progress and his expectations. They both participated in the All West Tennessee band and Samantha went on to the All State band. Samantha graduated in 2023 and has continued in music at the collegiate level."

“Lessons with Kreston Smith were a huge part of my journey as a musician and truly shaped me to get where I am today. Growing up, I knew I had a love for music after joining band in middle school but my family and I didn’t know the next few steps to take in a career in music. Kreston Smith taught me several unique practice habits and soloing ideas that I use to this day. With Kreston’s guidance, I was able to make the top jazz band in All West in 2018 and 2019, while making All State as a jazz band member (bari sax) and a vocalist (Bass II) in 2019. The habits for success I learned in lessons with Kreston were crucial for my success in those auditions. I would highly recommend Kreston for anyone interested in truly learning the saxophone and/or jazz musicianship! I graduated from Bartlett High School in 2019 and have just recently graduated from MTSU in 2023 with a degree in Instrumental Music Education. I teach lessons privately in Murfreesboro now and use material I learned from Kreston!”

"Kreston played a major role in my advancement as a musician and in life in general. The musical ability and confidence I gained through our time together in private lessons through middle and high school showed in achieving All-West Tennessee Band multiple years and first chair in concert and jazz band. I graduated from high school in 2012 and music still plays a major role in my life today. I credit that to the instruction and wisdom passed on from Kreston years ago."
